Cloverkey
Translating Brand Vision into a Complete Retail Experience

Project Overview
Cloverkey presented an opportunity to translate an emerging brand vision into a cohesive, customer-focused retail experience. Working collaboratively with company leadership, I helped develop the creative direction and physical elements needed to bring that vision to life.
From initial mood boards and concept development through fixture design, graphic communications, and the overall store environment, the objective was to create a unified brand experience that connected the company's vision with how customers would experience the brand in person.

Establishing the Creative Vision
From business vision to creative direction.
The process began with research and an in-depth understanding of Cloverkey’s brand DNA, business objectives, and target customers. This foundation informed the translation of the company’s vision into a cohesive creative direction. Through mood boards, visual references, material exploration, and concept development, I established the look, feel, and design language that would define the retail experience. This creative direction served as the foundation for design development, guiding the translation of the initial concepts into cohesive retail environments and informing subsequent decisions around materials, finishes, fixtures, and execution.
The objective was to ensure every element, from fixture design to environmental graphics, worked together to tell a consistent, compelling brand story.

Developing the Retail Environment
Transforming creative direction into a physical experience.
With the creative vision established, I helped develop the elements that would bring the concept into the retail environment. This included fixture concepts, merchandising opportunities, spatial considerations, and the visual components that shaped the customer experience.
The focus was on creating an environment that balanced brand expression, product presentation, customer engagement, and practical retail execution.

Creating the Graphic Identity in Store
Making the brand story visible at every touchpoint.
Graphics were an integral part of the overall experience, reinforcing the brand's identity and connecting individual elements of the store into a unified presentation.
From graphic concepts to their integration within the environment, the work helped ensure that messaging, visual hierarchy, and design details worked together to communicate the brand consistently.

Collaborating with Executive Leadership
Aligning creative execution with the company's vision.
My collaboration with Cloverkey leadership helped connect the original vision to the creative direction, design development, and physical brand experience.
The COO's letter provides an important third-party perspective on my contribution and the role I played in helping the company realize its vision.
Creating the Retail Experience
A successful retail experience requires more than strong design. It requires a clear understanding of the business vision and the ability to translate that vision into tangible, executable solutions.
Business Impact
Connecting the customer experience to commercial performance.
The Cloverkey prototype demonstrated the potential of a well-conceived retail experience to influence customer behavior and business performance.
The Takeaway
Cloverkey represents my approach to retail experience development: begin with the business vision, establish a compelling creative direction, translate that direction into a cohesive physical environment, and connect the final experience to customer engagement and business results.
It demonstrates my ability to work across strategy, creative development, store design, fixtures, graphics, and execution, bringing multiple disciplines together to create a unified retail experience.
